ABSTRACT
This study aims to evaluate the success of online marketplaces in Indonesia using the Information System Success Theory, based on the perceptions of accounting students at the University of North Sumatra. Systematic random sampling yielded 225 valid respondents, with data analyzed using SmartPLS. All six hypotheses were accepted, indicating that success is influenced by information quality, ease of use, perceived usefulness, user satisfaction, and system dependency. The strongest impact was observed in user satisfaction, while the weakest was in information quality. These findings provide empirical insights for developers to enhance marketplace applications by focusing on key factors to effectively improve system success.
Keywords: information system success, online marketplace.
