ABSTRACT
Management is the activity of planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising a program or activity to achieve planned goals. The importance of effective and sustainable management in an event is highly emphasized to minimize errors or problems that might arise in an activity. The problem that will be the focus of this research is the event management of district / city level student futsal competitions in Central Java Province. The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the importance of event management, which includes planning, organizing, mobilizing or controlling, and supervising systems in futsal competition activities.
This research is a type of qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, and concluding data.
The results of this study indicate that event management in futsal competitions has been implemented systematically and structured. The prepared competition has involved various parties by ensuring the readiness of resources, as well as paying attention to important aspects including funding, facilities and infrastructure, and risk management to ensure the smooth running of the event.
The conclusion of this research is that event management in futsal competition activities has fulfilled all management functions, be it planning, organizing, mobilizing or controlling and supervising systems. This research is expected to be a suggestion and input for athletes, coaches, associations and futsal communities to local governments and society.
