ABSTRACT

Effective management of medical emergencies in a dental office is crucial for ensuring patient safety and maintaining a high standard of care. The importance of pre-emptive preparation, including staff training, emergency equipment availability and clear action plans is emphasized. The integrity of patient’s medical history and risk assessments into routine practice is a preventive measure to mitigate the likelihood of emergencies. By fostering a proactive approach to emergency management, dental offices can enhance patient safety and improve outcomes in critical situations.
