ABSTRACT

This research paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the share price performance of State Bank of India (SBI) over the last five years (2019-2024). SBI, being the largest public sector bank in India, serves as a bellwether for the country's banking sector. This study examines the trends, volatility, and key factors influencing SBI's share price, including macroeconomic variables and significant policy changes. The findings reveal notable patterns influenced by economic events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, government interventions, and market dynamics. Through statistical analysis and event study methodology, this paper aims to provide insights into the factors driving SBI's share price movements.
